Course Descriptions |
CHIN 2205 (4 credits) - Beginner's Chinese I: This course introduces students to Modern Standard Chinese. In this course, learners will have a balanced development of the fundamental language skills, as well as a general understanding of the Chinese culture for appropriate use of the language in everyday academic and social situations. CHIN 2207 (4 credits) - Beginner's Chinese II: This course is a continuation of CHIN 2205. CHIN 3317 (3 credits) - Chinese civilization: This is a survey course conducted in English. It discusses the principal trends in the development of the Chinese civilization and its place in world civilization. |
